Job Summary:

The Dean of the Bitonte College of Dentistry will serve as the chief executive and academic officer for the college, providing administrative and academic leadership for the programs and missions of the college. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of engaging with faculty and staff constituencies to develop and execute a vision in support of the college's broad and innovative educational, research, clinical, and public service missions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direction and leadership in the development of strategy, leveraging organizational strengths and relationships to execute on key operating/financial metrics and market growth.
  • Develop and execute resource plans and budgets to further the college mission and ensure a positive revenue status for the college.
  • Strengthen and/or create strong and sustainable partnerships with regional health care systems that will bring value to both NEOMED and the health systems.
  • Engage in meaningful fundraising activities to encourage philanthropic giving to the college.

Requirements:
  • DDS or DMD from an accredited college or university with decanal experience in dental education.
  • Minimum of five years experience in dental education administration and leadership positions.
  • Licensed or eligible for a dental license in the State of Ohio.
  • Eligible for appointment at the rank of Full Professor in the Bitonte College of Dentistry.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional Ph.D. degree.
