About the Role

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a key member of our Test & Flight Operations team, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining ground systems, test, and launch facilities across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-level software requirements for controller electronics
  • Draft or review software design descriptions
  • Support technical trade studies
  • Draft or review software interface control documents
  • Draft or review software verification descriptions, scripts, and results
  • Support verification activities for software and subsystem integration
  • Ensure software readiness for integrated system test
  • Track anomaly reports and software change requests through implementation and resolution
Requirements
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or software engineering, including software requirements development or verification
  • Experience in full software development life cycle
  • Ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with industry-relevant software standards (e.g., DO-178B/C DAL)
What We Offer

Competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $136,800-$191,520 for on-site WA applicants. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.

Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
