Assistant Director of Nursing Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at American Senior Communities. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain nursing policies and procedures that meet established standards of quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments and professionals to develop and support the coordination of resident care.
  • Implement Key Clinical Quality Indicator systems to achieve and/or surpass corporate thresholds.
  • Assist the Executive Director and Director of Nursing Services with preparation for long-term care survey.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates values to our residents, family members, customers, and staff.
  • Must be available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • One-year professional nursing experience in long-term care setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
