Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Responsibilities include reviewing medical records electronically through a web portal, performing focused in-person physical exams, and documenting exam findings through the web portal.
It is essential to note that this role does not involve making disability determinations, which are made by the United States Veterans Administration.
The ideal candidate will have a current and unrestricted NP or PA license, be proficient in using a computer, and possess excellent time management skills.
Key Attributes- Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
- Skilled in independent medical assessments and electronic documentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Must hold a current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license.
- Meets credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
- Training and continued support provided.
- Computer supplied for work use.
- Typical day: 3 to 5 patients a day.
