About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook 2 to join our culinary team at The Landings Golf and Athletic Club. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences, working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Job Responsibilities
  • Take orders from the dining room and/or manager on duty and coordinate with the team to ensure prompt preparation and service.
  • Prepare orders according to standard recipes in a timely and professional manner, ensuring the best possible quality and presentation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen areas, walk-in coolers, and freezers to prevent contamination and ensure efficiency.
  • Assure the production of high-quality food items while adhering to sanitary and professional standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and control waste by managing proper rotation, storage, and overproduction.
  • Complete the food safety program within the designated timeframe and maintain awareness of safety protocols at all times.
  • Order stock for the next day or shift as needed and inform the chef or sous chef of any problems encountered during the shift.
  • Provide breaks for other associates working the line when necessary and work effectively with departmental employees as a cohesive team.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of experience in food production is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of food production and familiarity with standard food recipes are essential.
  • Previous experience in recommending, serving, and knowledge of food recipes is highly recommended.
  • The ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and use tact when dealing with customer service problems is crucial.
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization, delegation, and adaptability are required in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to provide exceptional service and leadership to position the department for success is expected.
  • The ability to stand for long periods and work in an outdoor environment under inclement weather conditions may be required.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting, carrying, or moving objects up to 50 pounds for 50% of the shift.
  • Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching for 85% of the shift.

Estimated Annual Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
