About the Role

At Performance Systems Integration LLC, we are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to work with our cutting-edge fire and life safety systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

We offer a competitive salary of $42 per hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, program, and repair fire alarm panel systems to ensure they function according to specifications.
  • Perform routine and emergency troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and servicing of low-voltage life safety product lines and fire alarm systems.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, providing timely updates and information as needed.
  • Identify code and non-conformance issues and address them according to industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed work reports and service tickets.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and product manuals to verify system functionality.
  • Provide customer training on proper device use, maintenance, and system operation.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Service Technician or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience as a journeyman low-voltage electrician.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • NICET II Fire Alarm Systems certification or higher.
  • EL-O6 (Limited Energy Technician) Electrical License.
  • Programming experience in EST Fire Alarm Panel.
  • Knowledge of NFPA Standards (70 and 72), Servicing Guidelines, and local AHJ requirements.
  • Familiarity with basic computer functions, including Windows, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
