At Magnet Medical, we are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work with our skilled medical professionals and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to operate MRI machines, produce high-quality images, and provide compassionate care to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a commitment to safety protocols and quality imaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Procedure Preparation:
    • Review patient medical history, doctor's orders, and previous imaging studies to ensure accurate procedures.
    • Explain MRI procedures to patients, addressing questions and concerns to reduce anxiety.
    • Verify patient identity and screening criteria to ensure safety.
  • Conducting MRI Scans:
    • Operate MRI machines, adjusting settings as prescribed by physicians.
    • Position patients on the MRI table, ensuring comfort and alignment while adhering to safety standards.
  • Patient Safety and Comfort:
    • Ensure patient safety during MRI procedures, particularly concerning strong magnetic fields.
    • Monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs, during scans to detect any issues or discomfort.
  • Post-Procedure Care:
    • Assist patients off the MRI table after procedures and ensure their stability and comfort.
    • Provide post-procedure instructions, including follow-up treatments and aftercare.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and quality imaging.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary, ranging from $$120,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
