Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, providing exceptional care to our patients, and supporting our veterinarians in their daily tasks.
Responsibilities- Clean and prepare exam rooms to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
- Assist in restraining pets in a way that minimizes stress and ensures the safety of both patients and staff.
- Take accurate notes and medical histories of patients, and assist veterinarians with routine exams and procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of veterinarians and assist with tasks such as taking temperatures, samples, and vitals.
- Draw up vaccines, flea/tick medication, and other treatments as requested by veterinarians.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in animal care, restraints, and client interaction is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of venipuncture, IV catheter placement, labwork, radiology, and pharmacology is a plus.
- Competitive hourly rate: $20 - $24.00 per hour.
