Job Overview

ConXión to Community is a private non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the value of each person in a community that fosters social equity. Our mission is to provide culturally competent education, workforce development, and social services to create a better community.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work in a team approach with high school or middle school youth in an afterschool program to support life skills, academics, and social programming.
  • Provide life skills coaching and work with youth to develop goals.
  • Participate in pro-social after-school activities and provide homework assistance.
  • Enroll youth in the program, collect documentation, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ensure youth follow program rules and participate in all activities.
  • Weekly check-in with parent/caregiver and maintain a clean classroom environment.
  • Model positive language and behavior and maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Provide administrative support for community meetings and organize workshops as needed.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or higher education.
  • Experience working with a culturally diverse, youth population.
  • Valid CA Driver's License, car, insurance, and ability to transport students.
  • Bi-lingual, bi-cultural Spanish or Vietnamese required.
  • Right to work in the United States and pass Life Scan background check.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination with booster required.
