Quality Assurance Manager, Print Industry Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance professional to lead our client's quality management team at their state-of-the-art facility in Plano, TX.

About the Role

This is an on-site position that offers the opportunity to oversee the Quality Assurance team, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Quality Management System: Lead the development, implementation, and management of the site Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with industry standards and organizational goals.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of quality excellence and accountability by driving quality and process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and boost customer satisfaction.
  • Lead Quality Efforts: Oversee quality efforts across the plant, ensuring products meet or exceed established quality standards and client expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements, streamline processes, and achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Audit and Assessment: Conduct regular quality audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of QMS processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze quality performance data, develop insights, and make informed decisions to drive quality improvements.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Develop and manage a supplier quality system, conducting evaluations and audits to verify the quality of incoming materials.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards for packaging and printing.
  • KPI Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in quality management within the print and packaging industries, demonstrating a history of improving quality standards.
  • ISO Knowledge: Strong expertise in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and familiarity with FSC, SFI, and PEFC certifications.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective, data-driven solutions.
  • Leadership: Prior experience managing direct reports and leading quality-focused teams to drive standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Certifications: Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
