Job Summary:

Optum is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Longwood, FL. As a member of our care delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our Medicare-aged population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary care services to adult patients, focusing on value-based care and evidence-based medicine.
  • Work collaboratively with a robust team to ensure seamless patient care and excellent outcomes.
  • Manage a primarily Medicare-aged patient population, utilizing your clinical expertise to deliver personalized care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new practice ideas and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current licensure through the Florida Board of Nurse Examiners or Licensed Physician Assistant by the Florida State Medical Board.
  • Valid DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency.
  • A working understanding and support of a managed care environment.
