Job DescriptionThis exciting part-time opportunity offers flexible scheduling and allows you to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. As a Private Duty Nurse with ChristianaCare HomeHealth, you will provide compassionate care to medically fragile children and complex adults in their homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing overnight care while parents and caregivers sleep, ensuring the patient's safety and comfort.
- Administering medications and other prescribed treatments as ordered.
- Coordinating care with the family, the patient's physician, and other healthcare professionals.
- Creating positive relationships through responsive and courteous service.
You will work closely with families to develop personalized care plans that meet their unique needs. This role requires flexibility, including working weekends and overnight shifts.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Delaware LPN license with at least one year of experience working in a healthcare setting.
- An Associates degree or completed an accredited LPN education program.
- Experience working in acute or chronic care facilities or home health agencies.
Prior home healthcare and long-term care experience is preferred. You must be able to attend a two-week daytime orientation followed by patient-specific field orientation on night shift. Some flexibility in the orientation schedule is available for discussion.
CompensationThe estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
