Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Beacon Hill Technologies. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment, troubleshooting equipment problems, and installing new equipment on customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and identify root causes
  • Install new equipment on customer sites and ensure proper integration
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Coordinate activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
  • Order and install parts as needed
  • Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely support
  • Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Stay current on equipment and tools through regular training and updates
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technology preferred
  • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study
  • Electrical/mechanical experience or military background in lieu of education will be considered
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
  • Military backgrounds have a high success rate in this role
  • Excellent customer interface skills and mechanical aptitude required
  • Ability to use appropriate tools and thorough understanding of technical issues
Physical Requirements

Job duties may involve working in confined areas, clean rooms, and high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds are required. May require bending, stooping, crawling, or climbing. Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures may be necessary when working with hazardous materials or conditions.

Travel Requirements

Travel varies based on team, with 0-100% travel teams available with added financial incentive.
