We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for our Jacksonville Region Maintenance Department.

This salaried-exempt position reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance procedures and repairs of ready-mix plants and mobile equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of all mobile and plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement effective preventative maintenance measures to control costs and maximize fleet efficiencies.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop regional maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Prepare annual repair and maintenance budgets for all ready-mix plants and mobile equipment.
  • Establish cost-effective inventory levels, approve parts/material purchases, and resolve budget variance issues.
  • Ensure accuracy of truck maintenance files in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Manage plant improvement and/or expansion projects to drive business growth and success.
  • Support organizational safety initiatives and drive the maintenance team towards a zero-incident rating.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (high school degree or equivalent required) with at least 10 years of job-related experience in mobile equipment and ready-mix concrete plant maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong math and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
