About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Associate. As a key member of our rental team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless rental experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide world-class customer service by managing the rental process, including processing rentals, answering customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Welcome each customer with a smile and provide a positive first impression of our brand.
  • Represent Hertz with professionalism and integrity, adhering to our policies and procedures.
  • Focus on providing a clean and safe vehicle to every customer, every time.
  • Take ownership of each customer's service experience and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Utilize company-approved sales and service techniques to determine customer needs and preferences.
  • Offer optional products and services to meet customer needs and increase revenue.
  • Prepare rental and return documents accurately and completely.
  • Qualify customers using our rental requirement guidelines.
  • Provide customers with directions, maps, and local area information as needed.
  • Review rental parameters with customers to ensure a complete understanding of our rates and service charges.
  • Ensure accurate return dates and times on rental agreements.
  • Review all charges at the time of vehicle return.
  • Prepare Rental Agreement Folders with all required information.
  • Answer phones in a friendly, helpful, and prompt manner.
  • Assist customers in resolving service issues and coordinate with colleagues to minimize wait times.
Requirements
  • Passion for customer service and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation to achieve and exceed targeted goals.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including typing skills and ability to navigate multiple computer systems.
  • Proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience working well within a team.
  • 100% customer focus, with proven experience in a customer-facing environment.
Additional Requirements
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and work overtime as required.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
