Job Description

Cornerstone Mechanical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC/Plumbing Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for designing, selling, managing, and executing new HVAC and plumbing projects to our existing customer base as well as new customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC and plumbing, with a minimum of 7 years of combined practical and academic experience. You will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the project and executing it at agreed-upon margins.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, selling, planning, organizing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of commercial HVAC and plumbing projects.
  • Estimating and selling change orders based on project and customer needs.
  • Overseeing all projects to ensure optimal customer service, efficient use of equipment and time, and meeting departmental strategic and budgetary goals.
  • Managing administrative records and controls to protect both Cornerstone's and the customer's interests.
  • Resolving customer concerns and complaints in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Performing sales calls to customers and prospects to build and maintain a strong project pipeline.
  • Working closely with the service team to present and sell new preventive maintenance agreements as projects near completion.

Qualifications include:

  • Seven or more years of combined practical and academic experience in HVAC and plumbing, with at least 1 year in a project manager capacity.
  • Ability to successfully direct and coordinate customer, employee, supplier, delivery schedule, and subcontractor requirements.
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure prompt and timely delivery at the lowest possible price.
  • Ability to learn and use Cornerstone's project management software and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to represent Cornerstone to existing and prospective customers.
  • Excellent phone, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in a drug-free workplace.
