Job Title: Meat Cutter Clerk

As a Meat Cutter Clerk, you'll play a vital role in achieving this goal by providing top-notch service and ensuring our meat department meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and ensuring customers have a positive experience in the meat department.
  • Cut meats to customer requests using proper cutting equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Offer product samples, inform customers of meat specials, and provide fresh/frozen products to customers.
  • Recommend meat items to customers, use all equipment in the meat department according to company guidelines, and prepare food to company standards.
  • Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate action to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise, report product ordering/shipping discrepancies, and display a positive attitude.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads, adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, and reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, effective communication skills, and knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
  • Current food handlers permit once employed, possess adequate knife handling skills and knife speed, and must be at least 18 years of age.
