Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at Williamson Health, a leading healthcare provider in Franklin, Tennessee. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care across various units, including adult, pediatric, and critical care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time of admission utilizing skills of observation, communication, and examination;
  • Plan patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes;
  • Plan for patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs as appropriate for the patient population;
  • Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment and no pattern or trend of problem;
  • Handle/transports/stores/prepares/administers medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures;
  • Document accurately and timely;
  • Reassess patient's condition, evaluate patient response, and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner;
  • Acknowledge charge responsibilities and assign staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirement, acuity, and complexity of patient's condition; facilitate staff development;
  • Maintain healing and therapeutic environment for the patient and family;
  • Maintain position-specific qualifications;
  • Demonstrate responsibility for assigned communications and special assignments;
  • Maintain work areas and personal appearance in a way that reflects professionalism and demonstrates to patients, visitors, and coworkers the importance placed on cleanliness, orderliness, and safety.

Requirements:

  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university;
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee;
  • BLS within 90 days of hire;
  • Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire;
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire;
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire;
  • Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly;
  • Prolonged standing and working for up to twelve hours a day;
  • Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day;
  • Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
