About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Producer to join our Employee Benefits team at Brown & Brown. This role is a key part of promoting and executing new and renewal business sales, providing expertise to customers, and assisting in department growth and profitability.

The successful candidate will collaborate with other teammates to meet customer needs, working closely with Sales Leadership to drive success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop marketing strategies with Profit Center Leader and Sales Leader to achieve business planning objectives
  • Pursue new accounts through telephone calls, written correspondence, personal visits, and other effective methods
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM tool for all sales activity
  • Complete annual customer stewardship meetings for experience and policy review and analysis
  • Maintain direct customer contact with key accounts and prospects
  • Work closely with Account Managers/Executives and Marketing Coordinators on new/renewal business placement
  • Analyze and offer recommendations on coverage based on individual customer needs
  • Maintain currency and specialization in a declared sector or market area through professional development activities
  • Stay up-to-date on marketplace developments, including product offerings and changing insurance consumer trends
  • Assist in training new Producers as directed by Sales Leader or Profit Center Leader
Requirements
  • Experience in the insurance industry, preferably in Employee Benefits insurance
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with appropriate work experience
  • Life & Health insurance license 2-15 (obtain within 30 days of hire if not already held)
  • Detailed knowledge of a CRM system
  • Proficiency in management operating systems that support insurance sales, tracking, and service
  • Microsoft Tools - Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency
  • This position requires routine travel; maintenance of a valid driver's license and minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements
