**Job Summary:**

The Supply Chain Inventory Specialist at Dollar General will be primarily responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of drop ship vendor invoices. This includes analyzing activity that impacts store financial inventory prior to posting, auditing select drop ship vendors during monthly audit processes, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze drop ship activity impacting store's financial inventory before billing, with a focus on reducing shrinkage (40% of time)
  • Audit specific drop ship vendor activity flagged for missing information, recommending process enhancements (25%)
  • Produce reports and analysis on vendor activity, providing insights for business decisions (15%)
  • Assist with creating transaction entries and month-end closing processes (10%)
  • Support testing of system changes and enhancements critical to Inventory Accounting (10%)

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to gather data from multiple sources, organize, prioritize, and manage/manipulate data effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, or related field required; minimum two to three years of experience in a related occupation preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word), AS400/Island Pacific, and data warehouses (1010data, WebFocus) a plus

**Salary Estimate:** The estimated annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on location and level of experience.
