Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Alsip, IL. This role involves working in a lean manufacturing environment where discipline, creativity, and problem-solving skills are highly valued.

About the Job
  • Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations on machine parts.
  • Operate equipment, including the selection and presetting of tools for the next scheduled job.
  • Maintain visual controls and update them as necessary.
  • Create and support countermeasures to improve efficiency.
  • Work in a clean and safe environment, participating in SMED, Kaizen events, and '5 Whys' problem-solving exercises.
  • Resolve and report equipment abnormalities, adhering to company safety procedures and standards.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in CNC maintenance mechanic roles.
  • Ability to train other Maintenance Technicians and oversee junior mechanics.
  • Familiarity with CNC controls, including OSP, Fanuc, and Haas.
  • Proficiency in electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairing machine components.
  • Design and implementation of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a shift premium of $1.35/hr. for 2nd shift. Our full benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a company-paid pension. New employees are regarded as probationary for the first 60 working days before joining the union with an initiation fee and monthly dues.
