Heavy Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Aerotek. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and modifying new earth-moving machines, performing MIG and Flux core welding, and adding modifications to machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hydraulic systems and electrical systems, as well as welding in overhead and underneath positions.
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for confirming the proper operation of all components of the machines and modifications, designing, fabricating, and installing electrical, hydraulic, and metal additions to machines, and conducting written and digital inspections of machines, parts, and attachments.
The work environment will be fast-paced and dynamic, with the candidate working in all weather environments and exposed to dirt, dust, loud noises, and fumes. The successful candidate will be required to wear steel toes, own tools, and own a welding hood on day one.
