Compensation and Benefits

As a Child Development Specialist with Autism Learning Partners, you can expect a competitive hourly rate of $24-$29 per hour. We also offer daily pay advances, empowering early access to earned wages, and additional benefits such as:

Job Responsibilities

As a Child Development Specialist, you'll play a vital role in providing therapy to children and families who require support. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering High-Quality Care: Under the guidance of Board Certified Behavioral Analysts, you'll learn how to provide effective therapy sessions that promote positive outcomes for children.
  • Teaching Essential Skills: Using Applied Behavior Analysis principles, you'll teach communication skills, social skills, self-help skills, and play skills to children.
  • Engaging Children in Activities: You'll maintain active participation during therapy sessions by engaging in play and adapting to the energy level of each child.
  • Recording Treatment Data: Accurately documenting treatment data on program goals is essential for tracking progress and informing future therapy sessions.
  • Ensuring Client Safety: Prioritizing client safety is paramount, and you'll take every precaution to create a secure and supportive environment.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, along with at least one semester of college coursework or current enrollment.
  • Prior Experience Working with Children, volunteering, or ABA experience are highly valued.
  • A Smartphone or Device capable of capturing session data and being tech-savvy is essential.
  • Exposure to Individuals with Autism or Special Needs through family, friends, or work experience is beneficial.
  • Reliable Transportation and a valid driver's license are necessary for visiting clients' homes.
  • Ability to Engage with Active Children and maintain a professional demeanor is crucial.
