Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dietetic Assistant III to join our team at White Oak Medical Center. As a key member of our nutrition services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrange and prepare food and beverage items for students and staff, adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in promoting the food services program to ensure self-sufficiency and optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct inventory and stocking of refrigerated and frozen groceries, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Clean and maintain utensils, equipment, and storage areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Collect payments for food items and reconcile cash transactions to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Document waste and inspect food items to verify quantity and specifications, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Load and deliver meals to classrooms as assigned, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Monitor kitchen and cafeteria areas to ensure a safe working environment and maintain accurate temperature records.
  • Prepare food and beverage items to meet mandated nutritional requirements and projected meal demands.
  • Receive and stock supplies and food items, ensuring adequate quantities to meet nutritional requirements.
  • Reconcile cash transactions and item counts to balance financial and daily inventory accounts.
  • Respond to inquiries from various parties, providing information and referring to appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Serve food items to meet nutritional requirements and requests of students and staff.
  • Stock food, condiments, and supplies to maintain adequate quantities and security of items.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (3) years of relevant hospital setting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
  • Food Handlers Certification helpful.
Work Schedule

20 hours per week, rotating weekends and holidays, 3:30pm to 7:30pm.
