Job Title: Donor Tech I

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Donor Tech I to join our team at Ballad Health. As a Donor Tech I, you will be responsible for performing all blood collection processes on donors to enhance the well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment by following safety guidelines and standards.
  • Perform all aspects of blood collection, including verifying donor information, drawing blood, and providing aftercare.
  • Evaluate potential donors' eligibility and perform sterile scrub and venipuncture.
  • Verify correct identification of donors and recheck donor information forms for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform post-phlebotomy care, proper disposition of units, and give post-care instructions to each donor.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Emergency Medical Tech, Registered Nurse, LPN, or phlebotomist course completion.
  • Valid drivers' license and acceptable driving record consistent with company policy.

Work Environment:

  • Day shift.
  • No on-call requirements.
  • Rotating weekends.
