ChristianaCare, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join its Wilmington Intensive Care Unit (WICU) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 3 to 4 medical or surgical patients per shift, working closely with hospitalists, specialty consultants, and transitional nursing staff. They will use their expertise to assess patient physical and emotional status, past health history, health practices, and patient and family knowledge of disease and treatment.
Requirements
- BSN required
- Commitment to obtaining BSN within three years from date of hire can be considered with relevant experience
- Registered Nurse with 2 years of experience; telemetry experience a plus
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred. Must commitment to obtaining ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Progressive Care or Gerontology Certification preferred
