Custodian Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian I to join our team at Global Connections to Employment. As a Custodian I, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform janitorial duties as assigned by management, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, counters, toilets, urinals, and dispensers
• Dust and clean accessible surfaces and furniture
• Clean and maintain glass windows and doors
• Empty trash cans and deposit trash in appropriate receptacles
• Report supply needs and equipment that need replacing or repairing

Requirements:

• Meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract
• Understand oral and/or written instructions
• Interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and staff members
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate

Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive), and lift up to 40 pounds. Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds may be required. May be required to remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas using snow shovels or snowplows.
