Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Children's Hospital Boston. In this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care coordination for children with complex medical needs.

As a Nurse Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of patient care plans, navigating internal and external healthcare systems, and coordinating with patients, families, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely access to necessary treatments and services
  • Coordinating lab tests, medical referrals, equipment, and required documentation
  • Reviewing and interpreting test results, offering relevant medical advice and education to patients and their families
  • Navigating insurance-related issues and advocating for patients to secure necessary coverage

To qualify, you must have:

  • A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
  • A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience working with medically complex patients
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare-related software

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience
