Job Title: Accounting Assistant

A well-established search firm, GPAC, is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join their team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the company's financial records, processing accounts receivable and payable, and performing various accounting tasks under the direction of the CFO.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Process and reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Prepare and mail invoices to customers, and process payments.
  • Manage vendor information and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and submit various financial reports, including payroll and accounts receivable reports.
  • Perform payroll processing, including verifying time sheets, entering payroll data, and preparing payroll checks.
  • File quarterly and annual tax reports, including 941, 940, and W-2 forms.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
