Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

Job Summary:
The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist is responsible for educating patients on radiology procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety. This role involves performing radiographic procedures, monitoring patients, and reviewing images for quality and completeness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all radiographic procedures and monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Review images for quality and completeness according to standard operating procedures and provider preferences.
- Prepare and administer IV and oral contrast under the direction of a Radiologist/Radiologist Assistant.
- Provide individualized patient care and comfort essential to the procedure, as well as provide patients and families with appropriate education to optimize their understanding within the scope of responsibility.
- Monitor patients for comfort and safety, and ensure prior images are available and complete all Epic processes.
- Perform pain assessment and take appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Certification Requirements:
- ND Medical Imaging License from the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners, prior to start date.
- Radiographer certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), within 6 months of start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), within 90 days of start date.
Notes:
- Temporary ND license accepted prior to start.
Position Details:
- 32 hours per week, straight nights, Thursday-Wednesday, 11p-7a or 7p-7a on Sat/Sun.
