Navy Aviation Rescue Swimmer

As a Navy Aviation Rescue Swimmer, you will be part of an elite team that responds to emergency situations, saving lives and providing critical support to those in need. Your duties will include coordinating with pilots, rescuing people in distress, and providing humanitarian aid in collaboration with other forces.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating with pilots to execute rescue missions
- Rescuing people in distress, including those stranded at sea or in remote areas
- Providing humanitarian aid and support in collaboration with other forces
- Operating various aircraft systems to support a range of mission types
You will operate in a variety of environments, including at sea and in remote areas. You may be assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat (HSC) or Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadrons (HSM) sea or shore duty in any part of the world.
Training and AdvancementYou will undergo rigorous training to prepare you for the demands of this role. This includes advanced swimming and lifesaving techniques, helicopter mission equipment, and helicopter weapons systems. You will also have opportunities for advancement and specialization in areas such as emergency medical technician (EMT) training and helicopter inland rappel school.
Qualifications and Requirements- Meet specific eyesight requirements
- Meet the minimum Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) score
- Pass a Physical Screening Test (PST) in DEP/Boot Camp
- Pass a Class 1 Flight Physical
- Be 30 years of age or younger
- Be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance
