Mental Health Associate Job Overview

The Mental Health Associate will provide emotional support to behavioral patients and assist with basic care responsibilities. This part-time night position requires a Bachelors Degree in Psychology or a related field, or 2 years of work experience in mental health or patient care. BLS certification is also required.

Essential Functions:
  • Taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and assisting with patient care.
  • Providing emotional support to behavioral patients.
  • Assisting with diversional activities and maintaining patient safety.
  • Working under the direction of an RN to provide care to patients on the unit.
