Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Job Summary: The Chatham Group is seeking a highly motivated Regional Sales Manager to join our team in the Midwest region. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for marketing value through technical project selling of specialty chemical additives in industrial and food processing. You will provide guidance to customers by providing product and services information to fulfill their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • New Markets and Customer Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Midwest region.
  • Ability to Close Deals & Follow-up with Urgency and Responsiveness: Close deals and follow up with urgency and responsiveness to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Excellence in Negotiating & Selling Value: Negotiate and sell value to customers by providing product and services information.
  • Working with and Motivating Distribution Network: Work with and motivate our distribution network to ensure successful sales and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree – Technical Degree, Chemistry highly preferred: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably with a focus on chemistry.
  • Minimum 7 years Sales experience: Minimum 7 years of sales experience.
  • Team Based Selling Experience – Sales/Technical/Product Management: Experience in team-based selling, sales, technical, and product management.
  • Chemical Industry experience required; Performance Chemical experience is a Bonus: Experience in the chemical industry, with a bonus for performance chemical experience.
  • Must live in the Midwest region, preferably Illinois/Indiana and surrounding states: Must live in the Midwest region, preferably Illinois, Indiana, and surrounding states.
  • Travel 60% in the field (3 out of 5 days in home office, once per month flying, up to two weeks a month overnight travel): Travel 60% in the field, with a combination of home office and travel.
