About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Applications Programmer to provide technical guidance and support for our IDMS COBOL mainframe applications.

This position is ideal for a skilled professional who can collaborate with business stakeholders to modify existing software and develop medium-complexity special-purpose database procedures.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in programming and experience working with a variety of operating systems, including Z-OS, JCJ, PROC, FOCUS, and mainframe Panvalet Library.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS).
  • Modify existing software and develop medium-complexity special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications.
  • Support the MMTime sub system to ensure employees enter weekly timesheets properly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related technical field and three (3) years minimum of relevant experience.
  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments; assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
  • Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
  • Must be able to communicate and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Maintains application software.
  • Develops application programs, tests the functionality of the software, and troubleshoots issues found by users.
  • Has experience working with a variety of operating systems, such as Z-OS, JCJ, PROC, FOCUS, and mainframe Panvalet Library.
Additional Information

This role offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
