Job Summary:

As a Speech Pathologist at Kootenai Health, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating speech and language problems, as well as engaging in scientific study of human communication. This role requires a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and certification with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate speech and language skills in relation to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency in individuals with communication problems.
  • Meet state licensing requirements and maintain a high level of professional competence.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology required.
  • Certification with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) required.
  • Current State of Idaho Speech Language Pathologist Licensure required.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience with adult and/or pediatric neurologically impaired patient population preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position.
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job.
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend.
  • Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment.
