Speech Pathologist

As a Speech Pathologist at Kootenai Health, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating speech and language problems, as well as engaging in scientific study of human communication. This role requires a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and certification with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate speech and language skills in relation to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
- Develop and implement rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency in individuals with communication problems.
- Meet state licensing requirements and maintain a high level of professional competence.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology required.
- Certification with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) required.
- Current State of Idaho Speech Language Pathologist Licensure required.
- Minimum of 1-year experience with adult and/or pediatric neurologically impaired patient population preferred.
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position.
- Typical equipment used in a clinical job.
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend.
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment.
