Geotechnical Expert Wanted for Construction and Testing

We're seeking a qualified Staff Engineer to join our Albuquerque, NM office. As a Staff Engineer at Western Technologies, you'll enjoy ongoing training and opportunities to gain valuable career experience and technical certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field inspections and monitoring programs to ensure geological suitability of construction sites.
- Advise on site selection and land use planning based on environmental effects.
- Study ground and surface waters, soils, bedrock, and environmental impacts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with E.I.T. or P.E. Certification preferred.
- P.E. license highly valued.
- 0-5 years of experience in construction materials testing.
You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing soil samples, inspecting development sites, reviewing engineering plans, and assisting in writing technical reports.
A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
