Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Food Safety and Compliance Manager to join our team at Raw Seafoods, Inc. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements in a joint USDA and FDA inspected establishment.

The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure quality, safety, and sanitation standards are met and maintained. They will analyze food safety production practices, provide technical recommendations for continuous improvement, and assist in creating and validating HACCP plans.

In addition, the Senior Food Safety and Compliance Manager will participate in internal validations, process authority validation data collection, and lead 3rd party audits. They will also manage Supplier Approval programs, audit supplier facilities, and create employee training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze food safety production practices and provide technical recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance Manager to update documents and records.
  • Assist in creating, validating, and assessing HACCP Plans.
  • Participate in internal validations and process authority validation data collection.
  • Lead 3rd party audits.
  • Manage Supplier Approval program.
  • Audit supplier facilities.
  • Create employee training.
  • Participate in internal auditing and inspection functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Business, Food Technology, Biological Sciences or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in seafood and ready-to-eat facilities.
  • Detail Oriented with strong technical writing skills.
  • Excellent Cross-functional Team Management skills.
  • HACCP certified and/or PCQI certified.
  • Internal Auditing Certification.
  • Risk Assessment Certification.
  • Vulnerability Assessment Certification.
  • Strong computer skills, including significant knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to make quick educated decisions regarding product quality.

Salary: Estimated salary range is $80,000 - $90,000 annually.
