Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Cardiology Wellness Center team at Saint Luke's Health System Kansas City. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our mission to deliver the best care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

* Assist Medical Assistants with EKGs, rooming patients, and monitoring patches and rhythm monitors.
* Assist RNs within scope of practice with walk-in visits and other responsibilities.
* Answer calls from internal staff, pharmacies, external healthcare providers, and patients.
* Review normal lab results with patients.
* Process refill requests.
* Address patient questions, complaints, and/or concerns.
* FMLA paperwork and other administrative responsibilities.
* Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
* Responsible for screening walk-in patients, telephone screening (with protocols), medication/injection education, assist with procedures, cleaning wounds, dressing changes.
* Able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as autonomously.
* Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel UAP in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.

Requirements:

* Less than 1 year of experience.
* Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
* Licensed Practical Nurse - Various.
* Associate Degree.
