Emergency Department Technician

Baystate Health is seeking a skilled Emergency Department Technician to join our team in Springfield, MA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care, perform various technical tasks, and assist with procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including hygiene, skin care, mobility, transfers, and monitoring
  • Perform phlebotomy, technical skills, and assist with procedures and EKGs
  • Manage equipment and maintain the lab area, ensuring regulatory requirements are met
  • Assist with laceration repair, simple procedures, and patient prep for exams

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Direct patient care experience (1-3 years)
  • CPR-American Heart Association BLS certification
