Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Glow YMCA.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality education and care to children in a fun and engaging environment. This includes developing and implementing lesson plans, supervising children during activities, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement daily lesson plans that meet the needs of children aged 3-12 years.
  2. Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  4. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, communicating effectively to ensure smooth program delivery.
  5. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
  6. Work collaboratively with the site director and other staff members to plan and implement program activities.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within 60 days of hire date.
  • New Employee Orientation and Child Abuse Prevention Training within 60 days of hire date.
  • Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting is highly desirable.

Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
