The estimated annual salary for this role is around $130,000 to $160,000. As a key member of the Raytheon Technologies team, you will play a critical part in ensuring the successful operation and maintenance of complex high-priority operational communications systems.

Job Responsibilities

The RF Systems/Hardware Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving system outages and other issues that may be encountered during operation of the system.
  • Collecting diagnostic data, accurately documenting problems in logging and discrepancy reporting tools, restoring system operation, developing workarounds, and other activities necessary for recovery of the system.
  • Providing support for storing, retrieving, and manipulating data for analysis and troubleshooting of system capabilities and requirements.
  • Monitoring the functioning of equipment and making necessary modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have prior experience supporting Operations and Maintenance (O&M) RF ground systems engineering activities for a satellite communications system.

You should also possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proficient use of Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes.
  • Experience with RF systems engineering, developing and maintaining schematics, analysis, block diagrams, system Bill of Materials (BOMs), and design review packages.
  • Skill in supporting design performance & cost trade-off studies for proposed engineering changes.
  • Ability to occasionally travel (both CONUS and OCONUS).
  • Technical ability to identify and document system-related RF capability enhancements through generation and submittal of White Papers and other submittals.

A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience are typically required for this role.

In addition, active and transferable TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance is required prior to start date, and the ability to obtain SAP is also necessary.
