Admissions Coordinator RN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an Admissions Coordinator. This role is responsible for coordinating admissions and bed control activity, ensuring seamless transitions from the Emergency Department or Primary Care Physician.
About the Role
This position requires a current Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut, with at least 5 years of RN experience and 6 months of experience in the same role at ECHN. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating the nursing admission assessment, completing documentation, and facilitating patient flow into acute care areas. They will also coordinate with staff RNs to ensure timely completion of vital signs and physical exams. Additionally, they will complete Fall and Braden Risk Assessments, Educational Needs Assessment, and Immunization Forms accurately and efficiently.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, Certification is highly desirable, and 5 years of RN experience. They must also possess excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively in English, and willingness to perform non-assigned duties as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
