**Job Title:** Onsite Interpreter Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated onsite interpreter to join our team at Propio Language Services. As an onsite interpreter, you will play a vital role in bridging language gaps and facilitating effective communication between clients and their target audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consecutive in-person interpretation services for various clients, including medical, legal, social services, and other sectors.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality interpretation services.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and community members.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance vocabulary, subject matter knowledge, and cultural competency.

Requirements:

  • Submission of updated resume in English at time of application.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Intermediate-level computer skills.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations, including TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, and Seasonal Influenza (Flu) and Covid.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and background check & security screen.
  • A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of interpreting experience.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is based on industry standards and cost of living in the Columbus, Ohio area.
