About the Role

Bodhi Learning Center, a pediatric clinical practice and private elementary school in Cordova, TN, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Assistant to join our team.

This is a full-time and part-time position, offering flexible scheduling and opportunities for career advancement and income growth.

The ideal candidate will assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech and language disorders, implementing speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with speech-language pathologists in client screenings or assessments of language and articulation, providing valuable support and guidance.
  • Implement treatment plans or protocols as directed by speech-language pathologists, ensuring seamless execution and effective outcomes.
  • Support speech-language pathologists in remediation or development of speech and language skills, fostering a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Collect and compile data to document clients' performance or assess program quality, maintaining accurate records and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Document clients' progress toward meeting established treatment objectives, tracking success and areas for further development.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure correct performance, conducting regular tests and inspections to guarantee optimal functionality.
  • Assist speech-language pathologists in speech-language research projects, providing valuable support and expertise.
  • Deliver in-service training sessions, family and community education programs, and other presentations, effectively communicating complex information and promoting understanding.
  • Perform various support duties, such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Create charts, graphs, or other visual displays to communicate clients' performance information, presenting findings and insights in a clear and concise manner.
  • Select or prepare speech-language instructional materials, developing engaging and effective educational resources.
  • Administer screening tests to determine abilities or treatment needs, accurately identifying areas for intervention and guiding informed decision-making.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic programs to improve patient functioning, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs and goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communicative Sciences Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • ASHA Certification, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Tennessee Board License, ensuring compliance with state regulations and standards.
  • Valid Tennessee driver's license, enabling travel to appointments and meetings.
  • Pass a background check, verifying suitability for working with vulnerable populations.
