Commercial Business Development Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Business Development Manager to join our team at Monarch Landscape Companies. As a valued member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and expansion across our eight-state footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and other functional groups to develop and implement processes that leverage business intelligence for enhanced performance.
  • Interface with District Managers and Account Managers to develop, present, and negotiate the recommended portfolio of services, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage opportunities through Salesforce to provide visibility of sales efforts to management.
  • Develop contacts and prospects to ensure long-term profitability for Monarch and its customers through cold-calling, market research, and internal lead development.
  • Generate job estimates/bid proposals, including scope of work, accurate site boundaries, and measurements, and estimate labor and materials in cooperation with operations.
  • Reply to client Requests for Proposal in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain relationships with key clients to seek out and take advantage of opportunities for networking and additional sales generation.
  • Attend RFP pre-bid meetings and proposal presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Horticulture.
  • At least 5 years of business development experience in Construction, Environmental, Facilities, or Real Estate Industries required.
  • At least 3 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Licenses or certifications as required by state and federal law.
  • Valid driver's license issued by the state where employed.
  • Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) and/or other relevant licenses a plus.
