Senior Lifeguard

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lifeguard to join our team at the City of Sacramento, CA. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and patrons at our aquatic facilities. This is a part-time, seasonal position that requires a strong commitment to customer service and a passion for water safety.

• Provide exceptional customer service to patrons and respond to emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of the pool area and report any hazards or concerns to management.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations, and educate patrons on safe swimming practices.
• Participate in training and certification programs to maintain current lifeguarding skills and knowledge.
• Work collaboratively with other lifeguards and pool staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR and AED certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in a related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
• Physical ability to swim and perform lifeguarding duties for extended periods.
