About the Role

Excelin Health Services seeks a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for implementing standards of care for speech language pathology services and ensuring adherence to all conditions in the Service Agreement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations, assess home environments (as necessary), identify equipment needs related to speech/language function.
  • Identify functional speech defects and develop a plan of care to improve patient function.
  • Administer speech therapy programs using specialized techniques and/or equipment.
  • Recommend communication devices/aids as indicated.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and other organization personnel to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Participate in case conferences, in-services, and other meetings required for coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Prepare and submit notes according to organization policy.
  • Maintain clinical competency in speech language pathology practice and theory.
  • Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refer as necessary.
  • Instruct patients, families/caregivers, and other healthcare personnel in treatment regimes as indicated.
  • May supervise home health aides in procedures directly related to the speech-language therapy plan of care.
Requirements
  • Possess a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) and meet either of the following requirements:
  • Be licensed as a speech language pathologist by the State in which the individual furnishes such service; or
  • If the State does not license speech-language pathologists:
  1. Must have successfully completed 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or be in the process of accumulating such supervised clinical experience);
  2. Have performed not less than 9 months of supervised full-time SLP services after obtaining a master's or doctoral degree in SLP or a related field;
  3. Have successfully completed an approved national examination in SLP.
A minimum of one year's clinical experience in Speech–Language Pathology.Demonstrate good verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.Possess and maintain current CPR certification.Be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured.What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development.
