**Research Associate Opportunity at The Fountain Group**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our team at The Fountain Group. As a Research Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the primary research of our internal customers in the Molecular Biology department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing samples in the laboratory, analyzing and performing quality control of genetic data, and helping to evaluate and implement new technologies. You will work closely with our team to develop and execute research plans, and contribute to the discovery of groundbreaking therapeutics.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Processing samples in the laboratory, both manually and via laboratory robotics
  • Analyzing and performing quality control of genetic data
  • Helping to evaluate and implement new technologies
  • Developing and executing research plans
  • Contributing to the discovery of groundbreaking therapeutics

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or engineering
  • One to two years' job experience in an academic or industrial research laboratory
  • Basic understanding of PCR, quantitative/real-time PCR (TaqMan; 5' nuclease assay), and other nucleic acid amplification and detection techniques
  • Ability to create basic PCR and qPCR assays
  • Functional knowledge regarding routine mammalian genetic constructs used in genome engineering, such as conditional knock-out models employing the Cre-Lox system

**What We Offer:**

  • Competitive hourly rate of $28-34, depending on experience level
  • Onsite, M-F, first shift, with flexibility for start/end time daily
  • 12-month contract, with potential for extension or conversion to permanent
