Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Summit Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic exams, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Operate radiologic equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines, to produce high-quality images.
- Position patients correctly to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of radiologic procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
- New York State and/or Connecticut License and ARRT Certification
- Excellent patient and people skills
- Ability to maintain a great knowledge in human anatomy and cross-section anatomy, proper positioning skills, and appropriate utilization of protocols and scanning techniques
- High knowledge with variety of routine procedures and applications
- Ability to maintain continuing education credits and professional licenses required by the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Environmental Protection and The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
