Job Overview

As a Transmission Technician at W.W. Williams Company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing routine maintenance and emergency services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality repairs and maintenance on transmissions, diesel engines, and heavy-duty trucks in accordance with manufacturer-designed procedures.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork, including repair information on work orders and information for state and emission inspections.
  • Diagnose vehicle failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  • Adhere to all company and industry safety standards.
  • Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
  • Develop a job repair plan based on diagnosis.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in transmission repair and maintenance in a heavy truck or fleet dealership environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Proficiency in computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
